Idukki

Ashtamudi Backwaters

Jatayupara
A huge cluster of rocks has seen its vicinity being developed by the government to promote it as a more recognized tourism spot. The name of the rock comes from the Holy epic of Ramayana, where the mythological bird falls onto the rocks in its efforts to rescue Goddess Sita from the clutches of Demon King Raavana.

Mayyanad
Situated on the banks of Paravur lake, this is one of the most beautiful villages in the district.
